Name
An Intelligent Brokering Service for Knowledge-Component Reuse on the World Wide Web |
Aim
Budget €1.101.060
Duration 2002-2003

Technology
- Ontologies.
- Problem-solving methods.
- Intelligent Assistants.
- Web Services (SOAP).
Expected outcomes
- Infrastructure for the compatibility of different Knowledge-Components.
- Intelligent software agents accessible via a web browser.
- A system for configuring and adapting filtering agents for Information retrieval on the web / intranet.
- Web/Intranet services for the selection, modification and configuration of problem solvers and ontologies.
- Note-taking language and tools for characterisation of Knowledge-Components. This language can be used by external libraries’ suppliers to take note of the components they want to make accessible for others.
Business impact
- This service will provide software-controlled access to a wide range of scattered and heterogeneous digital libraries of re-usable Knowledge-Components at a completely abstracted level from the underlying technology.
